I chose Huber Wilmot based on the... positive reviews I read.Giselle, Christian and Olis recently moved me. This has been BY FAR (I cannot stress this enough) THE BEST moving experience I have had. I have frankly been really disappointed with my last moves and this was stellar. The crew was very detailed, had excellent communication skills and were so careful in wrapping and moving all of my possessions. The positive reviews are accurate. Also - if you are storing furniture - don't assume that self storage is the way to go. From the first meeting to discuss in detail what my wife and I had in our home to move, HuberWilmot’s staff provided the highest quality of... customer service I have ever experienced in all my years of having to move. I come from a military career and this was my 54th time moving, so I have many examples to go from with this group. They met with us to explain the process of the move. They did a therough walk through to evaluate what would be moved and how it should be packed and moved from the home.Next, the packers who took on that tasks were all pleasant and energetic in getting the packing done properly and did it quicker than I have ever experienced in the past. The group of young workers worked so well together and orchestrated getting all quickly and safely to their trucks. This was by far the best moving experience we have had. We moved from Northern Virginia to North Carolina and hired HuberWilmot for the move. They... packed things rather sloppily, putting two framed pictures in a garbage bag that was later tossed onto a pile and resulted in broken glass. Another company moved some furniture from our house to a storage unit 2 miles away and charged us around $800. The crew for the unload (also HuberWilmot employees) were the same. The truck was packed well and we experienced no loss/breakage. The price was very reasonable for the work, weight, and distance (Virginia to Florida). Communication through the entire process was constant. This was by far the best moving experience we have had. We moved from Northern Virginia to North Carolina and hired HuberWilmot for the move. So when we had to ship to Pittsburgh, they were... our first (and only) call.Incredibly responsive and friendly on the phone. We had two stops at the destination (the apartment and the storage unit) so they happily loaded the storage unit items first so the apartment items would be available to unload first.They happily flexed their arrival window for us when our plans changed unexpectedly. Within 5 minutes of our phone call we received electronic confirmation of the new window, so we felt good there wouldn't be a disconnect in Pittsburgh. We’ve used five moving services over the past 24 months and Huber Wilmot was by far the best value. One moving company emptied a shed and moved it to... a storage unit. They packed things rather sloppily, putting two framed pictures in a garbage bag that was later tossed onto a pile and resulted in broken glass. Another company moved some furniture from our house to a storage unit 2 miles away and charged us around $800. Huber Wilmot moved that storage unit, plus two other similarly sized storage units from northern VA to the Eastern Shore of MD for less than $3,500. I found Huber Wilmot’s staff professional and friendly. I would highly recommend them.read more
