The HuberWimot company handled our move from Vienna, VA to Winchester, VA in October '24. They did an excellent job and were very punctual with... everything -- from the time they said they'd arrive to start the move to the day and time they said they'd deliver to Winchester. The moving team was very kind and STRONG. They never complained and were all very respectful of our house, belongings, and their other team members. They all operate as a well-oiled and FAST machine. The sales rep Mickey Brooks is one of THE BEST reps I've ever worked with. He was kind and honest, made sure all information was clear, answered questions, anticipated future questions, gave us packing tips, and more. He was also VERY responsive via text, calls and emails. Huber Wilmot based on the positive reviews I read.Giselle, Christian and Olis recently moved me. This has been BY FAR (I cannot stress this enough) THE BEST moving experience I have had. I have frankly been really disappointed with my last moves and this was stellar. The crew was very detailed, had excellent communication skills and were so careful in wrapping and moving all of my possessions. The positive reviews are accurate. Also - if you are storing furniture - don't assume that self storage is the way to go. Since I don't need access to my furniture - I stored it in the warehouse at Huber Wilmot at a price that was far less than self storage. Thanks to Giselle, Christian and Olis.read more

From the first meeting to discuss in detail what my wife and I had in our home to move, HuberWilmot’s staff provided... the highest quality of customer service I have ever experienced in all my years of having to move. I come from a military career and this was my 54th time moving, so I have many examples to go from with this group. They met with us to explain the process of the move. They did a therough walk through to evaluate what would be moved and how it should be packed and moved from the home.Next, the packers who took on that tasks were all pleasant and energetic in getting the packing done properly and did it quicker than I have ever experienced in the past. There was no sitting around. They were all focused on the mission.The day of the move was a sight to see! The group of young workers worked so well together and orchestrated getting all quickly and safely to their trucks. They were knowledgeable in breaking down what items required disassembling, and once at our new home, they quickly reassembled all that required it. This was by far the best moving experience we have had. We moved from Northern Virginia to North Carolina and hired HuberWilmot for the move. They... were always available to answer questions prior to our move and the young men who did the actual move were very professional. All the furniture was well wrapped and protected. All floors and carpeting was also protected and there was no mess left behind on either end. I can't say enough good things about HuberWilmot. This probably sounds too good to be true and like I was paid to write the review - but they really were that good! Austin did our initial estimate. HuberWilmot Moving took very good care of me and my family. We have a three-part move. The first part was our daughter's local move, which was... smooth. Would give 6 stars if I could. We had a great experience with HuberWilmot for a local move in April. So when we had to ship to Pittsburgh, they were... our first (and only) call.Incredibly responsive and friendly on the phone. The movers were careful with our things, incredibly friendly, and extremely positive. We had two stops at the destination (the apartment and the storage unit) so they happily loaded the storage unit items first so the apartment items would be available to unload first.They happily flexed their arrival window for us when our plans changed unexpectedly. Within 5 minutes of our phone call we received electronic confirmation of the new window, so we felt good there wouldn't be a disconnect in Pittsburgh. They showed up exactly when they said they would and happily unloaded everything where needed.If you want a slimy used-car salesman, call the other companies. What is a Bill of Lading?

Every mover is required to prepare a bill of lading for every shipment transported. The bill of lading is the receipt for your goods and the contract with your mover for their transportation. The driver who loads your shipment must give you a copy of the bill of lading.

It is your responsibility to read and understand the information on the bill of lading before you sign it. The bill of lading identifies the mover and specifies when the transportation is to be performed.
