The HuberWimot company handled our move from Vienna, VA to Winchester, VA in October '24. They did an excellent job and were very punctual with... everything -- from the time they said they'd arrive to start the move to the day and time they said they'd deliver to Winchester. I have frankly been really disappointed with my last moves and this was stellar. Also - if you are storing furniture - don't assume that self storage is the way to go. From the first meeting to discuss in detail what my wife and I had in our home to move, HuberWilmot’s staff provided... the highest quality of customer service I have ever experienced in all my years of having to move. I come from a military career and this was my 54th time moving, so I have many examples to go from with this group. They met with us to explain the process of the move. They did a therough walk through to evaluate what would be moved and how it should be packed and moved from the home.Next, the packers who took on that tasks were all pleasant and energetic in getting the packing done properly and did it quicker than I have ever experienced in the past. There was no sitting around. They were all focused on the mission.The day of the move was a sight to see! The group of young workers worked so well together and orchestrated getting all quickly and safely to their trucks. They were knowledgeable in breaking down what items required disassembling, and once at our new home, they quickly reassembled all that required it. This was by far the best moving experience we have had. We moved from Northern Virginia to North Carolina and hired HuberWilmot for the move. They... were always available to answer questions prior to our move and the young men who did the actual move were very professional. All the furniture was well wrapped and protected. All floors and carpeting was also protected and there was no mess left behind on either end. I can't say enough good things about HuberWilmot. This probably sounds too good to be true and like I was paid to write the review - but they really were that good! Austin did our initial estimate. HuberWilmot Moving took very good care of me and my family. We have a three-part move. The first part was our daughter's local move, which was... smooth. Then, we moved the contents of our Virginia home into a storage unit before we make the 1000-mile move for my wife and me (plus my sister's separate apartment) to Florida. This moving company was very professional, easy to work with, affordable, and good at their jobs.Mickey came out to inventory our belongings and... was able to give us an estimate right then and there. You can tell he knows what he is doing and is very polite and professional.The 3 movers we had were awesome. They were prompt, efficient, polite and took extra care to not only pack our belongings like they were their own, but to be careful not to ding up the walls in both our old and new home. Would give 6 stars if I could. We had a great experience with HuberWilmot for a local move in April. So when we had to ship to Pittsburgh, they were... our first (and only) call.Incredibly responsive and friendly on the phone. The movers were careful with our things, incredibly friendly, and extremely positive. We had two stops at the destination (the apartment and the storage unit) so they happily loaded the storage unit items first so the apartment items would be available to unload first.They happily flexed their arrival window for us when our plans changed unexpectedly. Within 5 minutes of our phone call we received electronic confirmation of the new window, so we felt good there wouldn't be a disconnect in Pittsburgh. They showed up exactly when they said they would and happily unloaded everything where needed.If you want a slimy used-car salesman, call the other companies.
