We chose the “Cure for Clutter” option in which a team came to the house prior to our “big” move to remove up to... 2,000 pounds of items and packed them into two wooden shipping containers that they then stored in their warehouse for up to 30 days, all for the price of $525. In my case, that included more than 1,000 lbs of weight lifting equipment from my second floor, 2400 sq foot condo. Removing that clutter allowed Vicky Noufal and her Platinum Group real estate team to optimize our home for showing.We worked out a separate deal for moving the rest of our furniture a few weeks later, just yesterday, in fact. Two trucks showed up with our “Cure for Clutter” containers inside one of them along with 5 very pleasant, energic workman: Uriel, Dennis, Renzo, Oscar, and Dario all worked quickly and efficiently as an orchestrated team to prepare the house (padding on doorways, floor coverings on the stairs and throughout the house), disassemble beds, dressers and mirrors, wrap-up furniture, and carry everything out to the trucks. They also packed several closets full of clothing into three wardrobe containers and carried them and many other boxes that we had packed out to the trucks.The unloading process was just as impressive, delivering all of our furniture and boxes exactly where we wanted them throughout the house. They even cheerfully carried all the weight equipment from the “Cure for Clutter” containers into the basement and placed everything exactly where I asked. When they were finished and cleaning up all the wrappings several of them asked if we wanted anything moved from one room to another now that we had a chance to see everything in the house.I can’t say enough about the team at HuberWilmot. Eric Wilmot, Austin Jacobs, and Renee Brimberg did a great job setting everything up and Uriel, Dennis, Renzo, Oscar, and Dario wasted no time in getting everything moved. Ronan and Roberto did an absolutely amazing job moving precious antiques from my parents home in Leesburg to my home in Lexington VA. Every piece... was carefully wrapped and was delivered in perfect condition. One piece had large lead glass doors from the 1800s and I was anxious that it wouldn’t make it without damage but when it was unwrapped it was perfect! Jason and his crew were top notch. From blanketing / taping up furniture to boxing up my flat screen, they covered all the details. The team that arrived the day of moving were by far the best workers we have EVER experienced, in all our 75-80 years. Edit to my original post:Below is my original post regarding HuberWilmont Moving and Storage. I wanted to write a small revision based on a recent... discussion with the owner, Eric. Eric reached out to me quickly after seeing my review and offered a great and fair resolution to the issues I encountered. While I did have a less than desired experience with the company, Eric completely listened to my grievances and quickly provided his solution in the matter. Working with Eric made a huge difference in my view of the company which is why I have given the company 4 stars vice 2. Thank you Eric for being amazing and taking my issues and experiences into consideration.Original post:I initially did a virtual walkthrough of my house with the company to get an assessment for the cost. After the agent put my beginning and ending location in the system and seeing my household goods, I was given an estimate of $2100. I was also told it would be same day pick up and same day delivery since 80 of my items were already boxed and ready to go. I later received an invoice estimate of $1800 with the final destination incorrect.I called the company and asked to ensure the final destination and overall cost was the same as previously discussed. I was then told the estimate was $2500 and they could no longer do same day pick-up and delivery. This was frustrating due to what I was previously quoted and planned for. This also shifted my moving plans and work schedule. I asked if they could call the moving company and see if there was anything that could be done to fix the situation and for clarification on why my overall cost increased $400 from the original quote of $2100. I was told they would call the moving company to try and fix the situation.The movers got to the house on time and worked quickly, which was greatly appreciated however, the workers were overall careless with items and broke a few items while moving. Instead of telling me they broke these items, they just left them on the ground for me to find. I didn't say anything at the time and was just appreciative for the help moving. I was told by the lead mover that they could deliver same day since it did not take them long to load everything. I agreed to the same day move with the lead mover, in order to try and salvage my previous plans and expedite the process. As the movers arrived at my new location, I received a phone call for a family emergency. I called HuberWilmot and explained the situation in addition, I asked about the new cost and was told they would call back again that following Monday and they would contact me.The movers shoved boxes into closets, which were extremely difficult to remove due to size and weight. They also completely cut through my power cord of my sleep number bed while unpacking it and reassembling it. Again, it wouldn't have bothered me so much if they had told me. No one informed me of this extremely noticeable error. It's a very thick power cord, it's hard to miss the fact that it was sliced in half. After about a week, I called the company several times to speak to a representative. I left several voicemails, and I never received a call back. Instead, I was sent an email with a new upcharged receipt saying my total was now $2700 but "reduced" to $2500.The company will provide decent workers and sometimes will be responsive, but my experience was not the greatest with this company. I recommend using another company as I will never use them again.read more

His words were exactly what I needed to hear at that moment, and I will never forget it.Since day one of my walkthrough with Austin where he was punctual and polite, to a mid-day visit on moving day with Edwin to make sure everything was going well, to the level of hustle from the team during the move, to the follow up calls/emails from Austin and Edwin to check in, offers to come pick up any boxes/trash from the move…I am absolutely blown away. My experience with HuberWilmont - specifically Escobar, Frankin, Carpa, Ventua, and Renzo - was fantastic. They took great care with my furniture... and items and my old and new homes. All of the furniture was wrapped and undamaged. The put down mats and padded the door frame - and they were so fast and easy to work with. When I needed some items shifted, they happily did that and managed some really heavy things - like a treadmill. Amazing! Would certainly use again.read more

I moved the furniture out of my home to have my floors refinished. HuberWilmot came and picked up all of my furniture. They were professional and... handled all of my belongings with such care. They arrives on schedule, worked diligently to get everything packed. When the floors were done, I called them and was able to schedule a quick return date to get my furniture back in the house. I have nothing but nice things to say about HuberWilmot. From beginning to end they were amazing. They packed all of our furniture like family... heirlooms which we thought was funny because some of it wasn't even that nice. Jason and his crew were the best!! They moved the entire contents of our four bedroom house in less than 6 hours, and on one truck!! We couldn't believe it!! They were professional and courteous of our house, pets and lawn.
